I normally don't like bread, but it's ok when it looks like this:
Carrot buns with filled with an avocado fromage fraise mixture. mMmmmm.
I've been really busy working, which means our living room table looks like this:
I don't know how other teachers do it, a few days of teaching and I have gathered an enormous amount of papers I can hardly carry around with me any more... It also means I have to get up at 6 o'clock in the morning on the days when I teach at 8. Urgh. And I'm not a morning person...
What you also can see on the previous picture is a new book I'm reading, Ali Smith: The Accidental. I just started reading it after someone recommended it. So far it's really good. I have high hopes!
A good thing about getting up at ffs o'clock in the morning is, that sometimes it is so beautiful outside:
Well that's it for today!

My first experiment with a bread, where I made part of the dough the day before, and let it stand at room temperature overnight. mMmmmmmm!!!
When I want a quick dinner and feel like vegetables, this is it:
And last (but not blablabla) the Galaxy Socks! Made from Regia Galaxy colour yarn.

FFS!!!
Life has been hell! I have been extremely busy at work, running around (literally at some points). I'm a highschool teacher, so work started with a 7 hours meeting the day before the students arrived. AAARRRGGHHH NOT fun! But neccessary of course. Unfortunately I'm no good at sitting on chairs, making it really hard to concentrate (gimme a couch and u will get my attention). I'm a class teacher for one of my classes, which means there is 10^10^10 things to organize. And it also means I had to go to a cabin thingie with them. I didn't get a lot of sleep that night, but instead I got about 20 mosquito bites :@.
This means there hasn't been much other-than-work-activities, and, consequently, this is how our appartment looks like:
There has been no reading :( , and only very little knitting... I've been reading blogs tho. I realized my blogroll hasn't been updated for ages (I read a lot of new blogs), so I decided to remove it. Well, that's it for today!

Random things
I finished reading Dianne Setterfield: The Thirteenth Tale, and its ok, but not more than that. At the moment I'm reading a book that I bought in Sweden:
A bread-baking book. I'm collecting cook-books, and I especially like cookbooks bought away from home. It has a lot of interesting recipes, and talks of bread so that even I want to eat more bread! Normally I have a hard time convincing myself that I should eat bread, but it helps when it's home-made.
I've been knitting a little too:

I'm still here!
I'm still here... kinda. Work started, and I'm incredibly busy :(.
Berlin's Whimsey nominated me for for the Rockin' Girl Award! I'm so flattered!!! Butbutbut I don't feel I have the time, so I am not gonna check my 10^10 blogs for who I want to nominate, and only 5, must be impossible to pick 'n choose!
See u when work and life is less busy!

Sweden part 2
The next day we moved on, stopping shortly at this camping site:
But quickly realizing it was way too crowded. We moved on, and found the perfect spot. Near Askersund.
We spent one day in Örebro, where I forced my bf into every bookshop there is. Besides that the is this castle thingie, and not much else...
The last day we spent at Tiveden National Park. We thought the 6 km walk was perfect for us, not realizing it was 6 km climbing! And then we walked the wrong way at a point when I already was so tired I just wanted to get out again. Nonetheless it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. My bf took a lot of pics, so enjoy them!
The next day we drove home again. The weather slowly turned from bad to worse. Two times we drove off the motorway because we simply couldn't see anything, but u can't always get off a motorway, so for quite some time we drove without being able to see much, as u of course can't just stop on a motorway! Nightmare!

I'm back @_@ !
So where has she been, u might ask. Camping! Here:
I had only been to Sweden one time before, so I was very much looking forward to it. I took one gazillion pictures of course. Sweden is so beautiful, there is still real nature, and even driving on the motorway is nice, as there is lots of trees to be seen and not many cars:
We didn't drive all the way to Askersund the first day, but instead stopped at another camping site, halfway along the Vättern. When I read this book, Marilynne Robinson: Housekeeping, I had a hard time imagining a lake that was big enough for a train to disappear into it, without it being found again. I should have read the book after the camping trip. Vättern is so big that u drive for hours along its shore. Wow.
The first camping site had some spectacular views:
The sunset was amazing:
More pictures tomorrow!

Google statistics
I love to read my Google Statistics page. Obviously it is nice to have it confirmed that people read my page, but other things are interesting too. For example how people found me through googling. I can see that the Spiral Boot Socks were a big google hit, but most fascinating is it that someone manage to find me by googling the word "knitting" !!! Today there are 22 400 000 hits on that word!
A few more pictures of denmark. Don't you love train stations too?

Sockyarn, books, comments and more!
I tried again. And failed... I just cannot leave a comment on Berlin's Whimsy's blog, and it also seems impossible on Bethany's. Grrrr. Well, lets move on to sockyarn instead! Whenever I'm in Germany I buy sockyarn, as I haven't found any good place in Copenhagen yet. Any suggestions anyone? In walking distance from my parents house there is this shopping mall with a huge Famila Shop, and a few small shops. One of the small shops is the perfect sochyarn shops. They get new colours every month! Well, here is what I bought:
From left to right it is: 1 Regia Galaxy, 1 Regia Mosaik, 1 Opal Neon, 1 Regia Square. I am especially in love with the Regia Galaxy, as it uses pooling for pattern. How cool is that, deliberate pooling! I love pooling btw, never understood people trying so hard to avoid it.
I also bought a book:
And got some new ones from the library. I finished reading Harry Potter 7, and I L O V E I T! I couldn't stop reading, and of course now I'm just sad it's all over :-(. I also finished reading Marilynne Robinson's Housekeeping, which is fantastic in an entirely different way. She uses such a wonderful language, so short and precise.

WalkWithMe in Flensburg!
I visited my parents for a couple of days, and I took my camera with me, so WalkWithMe down memory lane (err yeah... cliché, but I couldn't resist it).
Lets start with my parents house! Well actually it seems there are no pictures of the house itself, but of the garden there are. The weather was bad, it alternated between raining too much and raining way too much. Here is a picture of my parents sitting in the garden, not realizing there is a big black cloud with lots of rain approaching.
And this is how it looked shortly afterwards.
A good thing about my parents house is my mothers reading corner.
Lets go for a walk then, shall we?
Close to my parents house there are a lot of multi-storey buildings, that used to be really ugly. For a lot of money they made them quite a bit better, some years ago. Look for example at this huge green bubble, its hiding the rubbish bins!
Every now and then there was a little bit of sun, making it possible to take nice pictures of orchards.
Look there is my kindergarten! I really liked that place, but I hated that I always managed to be the last one arriving. According to my parents it wasn't easy to wake my up in the mornings. It still isn't.
That is one orange house!
I wonder if there is living more than one family in this house. I do have a better picture of these houses, but the sky looks so dramatic and beautiful that I prefer this one.
This was the after-school thingie were I had to go for a while. I guess it wasn't that bad, but I remember running home in the evenings as fast as I could, imagining they would catch me and keep me there, if I was too slow O_o.
Flensburg btw is a really pretty town, being situated at the Flensburg Fjord. Just around every second corner there are spectacular views.
In the background you can see Duborg Skolen, one of the school of the Danish Minority I went to. Don't sent your children there, with few exceptions the teachers are just shit. They can't really get Danish teachers to this area, so they take everyone who applies.
This was part of my way to school. O_O I had well trained leg muscles back then!
We also had some free entertainment. The following pictures were taken out of the living-room window at my parents house! Look at his gun!
